About Libo Academy
What began as a small classroom in a humble home has grown into one of Senanga’s most trusted centers for early childhood and primary education. Libo Academy is more than a school, it’s a story of vision, resilience, and a deep commitment to every child’s potential.
Our Story
In 2017, Ms. Lilato Nawa, a professional marketer with a passion for children, saw a gap in her community—a lack of quality early education, especially for working parents. With just three learners and two teachers, she opened the doors of Libo Academy from a modest residential home. The community’s response was immediate; within months, the number of learners grew from 5 to 35, driven by trust and word of mouth. The school initially offered Baby Class, Middle Class, and Reception, and later expanded to include primary grades up to Grade 5.
Today, Libo Academy serves over 150 learners aged 2 to 12, led by a committed team of eight qualified teachers and one assistant. The school is known for its strong early literacy program, play-based and academic balance, and character-building focus. Beyond academics, learners participate in co-curricular activities such as science fairs, Careers Day, and educational trips. Now, the school is preparing to take another bold step—constructing permanent classrooms, a library, an ICT room, and a playground to serve future generations even better.
